Q: This is my first visit with you. I am not sure what to do.
A: No worries. Please click here for the information.
Q: Can I claim through my health fund?
A: Yes, we accept all major health funds, and you can claim with our HICAPS at the clinic. What you are covered for is dependent on your individual insurance policy.
Q: Do you take AMEX and other credit cards?
A: Yes, we take AMEX and all other credit cards.
Q: What are your opening hours and do you open on public holidays?
A: You can find our opening hours and days here: Opening Hours
Q: Is there parking available?
A: There is plenty of street parking available, namely on High St, McClelland St, and Forsyth St.
Q: Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?
A: No, you do not need a referral to make an appointment for physiotherapy, and you can claim via your private health fund. A doctor’s referral is required for Medicare EPC, Work Cover, or Compulsory Third Party. If a doctor referred you, please bring all the necessary paperwork with you.
Q: How do I claim Medicare/EPC?
A: We will claim Medicare/EPC for you at the clinic. If it doesn’t work, you can find other ways here: Claim Medicare
Q: How long should I book for my initial physiotherapy appointment?
A: Generally, 45 minutes is the standard duration for a single injury. Longer duration may be required depending on the number of injured areas, case complexity, and the relevant history. We will do our best to extend the session if a longer duration is required, provided it does not affect the next client’s appointment. We can always make further follow-up appointments if we cannot extend the appointment.
Q: What should I bring with me? And what should I wear?
A: Please bring all referral forms, letters from your GP or other health care providers, scan/image results, and any other relevant documents. You can wear comfortable clothing that allows the physiotherapists to access the area of concern. We do have shorts and singlets, just in case you are coming straight from work!
Q: Can the physiotherapist make referrals for scans?
A: Yes, but there is a catch. While physiotherapists can make referrals for any scans required, most are not claimable if the referrals are made by physiotherapists. To make things more complicated, while many are partially covered if referred by your GP, this also depends on the area of scan and which imaging clinic you use. The best way to find out is by contacting the imaging clinic of your choice and finding out how they charge for your particular image (e.g. I need an MRI for my knee, how much do you charge in total, and how much of it is covered if I have a GP referral?).
